URGENT Prayer Request

I’d like to ask y’all to please lift up this family in your prayers. They are in a very dire situation, and I’m sure that they would covet anyone’s prayers at this time.

Beezus the Bear

Hi beartastic friends! A lot of people were worried about Sam and I soooooo I have little bit about my family.

The first thing is about Sam’s mom. Sooooo you will probably be seeing a lot of craft pics that we have done because when Sam and her mom get stressed they make A LOT of crafts!!! Sam wanted me to explain a little bit about our family. Sam is going into the seventh grade. Her sister is in collage. Sam’s father got Parkisns disease when Sam was still a baby soooooo 12 years ago. He’s getting worse and worse. He probably has about 4 or 5 years left. He’s only 44. Sam’s mom has cancer now so the doctor says the longest she has is a year. After around 4 to 5 years Sam will have to like with her grandparents. Sarah can’t take care of both of us…

Interview with Kylie Jacobs

Hello ladies! (and guys. 🙂 )

Recently I have had the Chance to interview Kylie Jacobs of Christ Centered Girls! Kylie runs a magazine and blog; you can find the links to both at the bottom of this post. 😀

Right, let’s get started!

What’s your name? Tell us a bit about yourself!

Haha well, my name is Kylie Jacobs. I am a blond haired blue eyed Jesus freak from California. I love music and sports, sugar and my favorite animal is a horse! I have them all over my room. I am a foster kid and I am not ashamed to admit it! I write music and articles in my spare time I started a magazine for Christian teen girls, and have dreams of one day inspiring people in Hollywood to live their lives for the Lord and reaching people on a bigger level! Oh ya and I’m 16.

What inspired you to start CCG?

That is a really good question 🙂 when I was thirteen years old I started to get really into magazines and pop culture. As I started reading more and more magazines issues such as J-14 and Seventeen I began to realize that the advice they were giving wasn’t uplifting AT ALL. They would tell me what styles were IN and how to kiss the RIGHT way, but really I began to notice that what I was reading started to change me as a person. So one day I decided to google Christian magazines or sites that would actually uplift me. Sadly I didn’t find many but was lucky to stumble upon this one site that was filled with GREAT Christian advice but talked about things a thirteen year old girl would still be into.

As I read more and more articles and magazine issues I could feel God telling me to pursue this. God was telling me to start my own online magazine just like this one I had discovered. So I contacted the owner of the magazine and asked her how she did it and what I needed to do to start my own. She was very helpful and encouraging! I remember her being one of the only people who actually believed that I could do it. I told people what my dream was, but imagine a thirteen year old coming up to you and saying “I’m going to start an online magazine for teen girls!” You probably wouldn’t believe her either. I literally contacted every magazine, blog, and Christian site I could find asking them to give me some pointers and advice. I did that for three whole years. Finally with lots of prayer I started my magazine at age 16.

What is your favorite Bible verse?

1 Timothy 4:12. Although I swear it changes every month, it says “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.”

I love this verse because God has put it on my heart to share with others that it doesn’t matter how old you are YOU can still make a difference. This is actually Christ Centered Girls Go-to verse and you will see it at the top of our site 🙂 something I always like to tell people when they look down on me for being so young to start a magazine is “Because I am young, I have the most impact.” Because it’s true! How many young people do you see trying to pursue a relationship with the Lord? Or trying to make a difference? Probably not many. So when people see that they become inspired.

Has writing on your blog impacted how you think about yourself and others?

Writing is one of my passions for sure! I get so many emails and messages from girls all over the world saying how my articles have inspired them! 🙂 So I guess in a way It has changed the way I look at myself and others. I used to think that nobody would want to read what I had to say, but I knew that God wanted me to write and he wanted me to write for him. So I had to push away my fear. I remember the first time someone had praised me for my work, It was a girl all the way in Nigeria! She had said that she was too afraid to start an outreach team in her community but apparently I had inspired her to be brave and do it anyway. Now she goes out weekly with her church and shines Gods light to his people. It made me realize that God was using me to help others through my site and my writings. I wouldn’t even have this gift if it wasn’t for him, he speaks through me.

If you had the entire world’s attention for one minute, what would you say?

Hmm…that’s an interesting question I don’t get asked often! Well I know if I had the entire world’s attention I would probably be freaking out because I don’t really like to be the center of attention! But I would also use it as a time to let God speak through me to them. I would probably tell them to not be afraid, I would tell them that there is something greater out there if they just let go and accept it. I would want them to know that they are loved no matter the trials they are facing and the pain they are going through. I would tell them that God has a plan for each and every single one of them and that it doesn’t matter who they are or what they have done God can and will use them to change this world. So basically If the whole world is listening right now I would want you to know that Jesus Christ Is a real guy who loves them unconditionally! There is so much I would want to say though!

Has being a Christian been easy for the most part, or do you struggle on a daily basis to keep your faith? If so, what helps you keep your faith?

Being a Christina easy!?! Haha I have never heard of that! Being a Christian is hard, especially since I am in ministry and the entertainment world. I have so many people coming up to me trying to persecute me. My entire life I had been looked down upon for my faith. But you see that what happens when you decide to follow a man who is an outcast. God never promised it would be easy, actually he was completely honest with us and said it would be hard. But even though I have had to give up so much for God I wouldn’t EVER take that back. Because I gained so much more than I ever had without him. The world tries to tell us there is something better out there, when really it’s a trap and I have everything I need right here with God. Something that always helps me when I am doubting my faith though is this.

Jesus was a man. A human being, he never lied to us, never tricked us, and only loved us unconditionally. Yet we beat him, and spit on him, and screamed harsh words at him. But that didn’t stop him. He still continued to share Gods words and love to the world. If anybody knows how you feel it’s Jesus, and he can show you how to fight the right way. That’s the secret you see, is fighting with Jesus not against him. So next time you are doubting your faith, remember that Jesus suffered more than you did, and because he didn’t give up he changed the whole course of humanity.

Do you have anything else to say to STL readers?

Yes! Oh I have lots to say to you guys! But I will keep it short. I want you to know that God has a plan for you, no matter what your age, race, or gender is. God can and WILL use you if you let him. He has given us each our own gifts to use for him. Maybe you like to write, so start a blog, maybe you like to sing, so sing his praises, maybe you like to cook, so cook meals for the homeless. You all have things about you that make you YOU. So don’t take those for granted.

You are POWERFUL. You are capable of changing this world for the better, so take advantage of that. Listen to whatever God tells you to do and don’t listen to what other people say. Because it doesn’t matter what they think. The world is going to try to tell you who you are, but don’t listen, because you are God daughter/son and there is nothing that can change that. BE YOU. It’s the best thing you can be, and don’t worry about this world, because you do not belong here. (John 15:19 If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you.

Lastly I want you all to know that I love you all and I want to hear from you! So you can either email me here; christcenteredteengirls@gmail.com

Making Time For God

Hello, everyone! Lily here. 🙂

Today, I’m going to write about making time for God.

image

via (graphics by me)

Before I get started, let’s ask ourselves this question: How much time do we devote to God versus the amount of time we spend doing other things?

Of course, I certainly don’t feel that we need to spend every moment of our lives praying. This would definitely be wonderful if one did so, but we also have a life to live – the life that our Lord gave us.

But our Lord gave us so much, even his life. Let’s all try to give thanks to him. Every day.

How can we do that?

First of all, pray. Every day, we can get up and thank the Lord for all the blessings that He has given us. It’s wonderful to start the day with a prayer. 🙂

Read the Bible. You can also decorate it, too. 🙂

Study the Bible. Why should we not know the word of our Lord well?

Keep a ‘Bible Journal’. After you read/study the Bible, you can write down your thoughts and reflections on some of the verses.

Write down inspiring verses. If you’re feeling down, reading some uplifting verses will definitely make you feel better. Also, it is another way to frequently revise the word of the Lord.

So, there are five ways to make prayer present in your daily life! Tell me, was this helpful? Would you like more posts like this?

Before I sign off, I wanted to say that by no means do I want to come off as a preachy know-it’s-all. I myself need to improve in this field, and I’m not entirely sure whether I wrote this post for me or others. 😉

May your life be blessed with God,

Abortion – They Understand But They Don’t Admit

Hello, Lily here! I’m truthfully sorry that I’ve barely been posting lately lately, but I swear on a stack of fifty imaginary Bibles that from now on I’ll do my ABSOLUTE BEST to post every Wednesday, or at least once every week.

Today I’m rebogging this wonderful post from Girls Living for God’s Glory. I found it wonderful, perhaps many of you have already read it but I just had to reblog it!

Today, my mom was calculating Student Loan payment and what not on a government student loan site. They asked her many questions, but one caught her eye. She soon brought this question to my attention;

The following questions will be used to calculate your family size. Do not include yourself or your spouse (if applicable) in your responses to these questions. You and your spouse, as appropriate, are automatically included in your family size.
How many children, including unborn children, are in your family and receive more than half of their support from you?

This pretty much proves that even the government believes that children in the womb are still in fact children. Because if they did not, why would they say ‘including unborn children’ to calculate your affordability payment? They want to know how many children you are supporting and an unborn child still counts as a child in their minds. Not to mention, they used the word CHILD for UNBORN CHILD.

Here’s something else. When I typed in ‘define Abortion’, here’s what it came up with;

the deliberate termination of a human pregnancy, most often performed during the first 28 weeks of pregnancy.
synonyms: termination, miscarriage
But then I typed in ‘define termination’, which was one of the synonyms for Abortion. Here’s what termination said;

The action of bringing something or coming to an end.

synonyms: bring to an end, end, abort, curtail, bring to a close/conclusion, close, conclude, finish, stop, put an end to, wind up, wrap up, discontinue, cease, kill, cut short, ax; More
Notice that at the end of the list of Synonyms, they include ‘Kill’. Here’s what I got when I typed in kill;

Cause the death of (a person, animal, or other living thing).

synonyms: murder, take/end the life of, assassinate, eliminate, terminate, dispatch, finish off, put to death, execute; More
Now, see at the top of the synonyms list the word Murder. Let’s see what happened when I typed in Murder;

The unlawful premeditated killing of one human being by another.
synonyms: killing, homicide, assassination, liquidation, extermination, execution, slaughter, butchery, massacre; More
Finally, read the definition of Murder. ‘The unlawful premeditated killing of one human by another’. That is the definition. And that is pretty much the definition for Abortion except the definition for abortion has been corrected by PC words and so on. That sentence above is exactly what Abortion is! So if that is abortion, look at the synonyms. Killing, Homicide, assassination, Extermination, execution, slaughter (oh, that’s nice one) butchery (yep. That’s what it says) and Massacre. Now notice how this states that murder is unlawful. So it’s unlawful to kill a child or teenager or adult or senior, but it’s lawful to kill a defenseless unborn baby? That’s nice (sarcasm).
Here are seven Bible verses that state against Abortion.

Job 31:15 Did not he that made me in the womb make him? and did not one fashion us in the womb?

Psalms 22:10 I was cast on you from the womb: you are my God from my mother’s belly.

Psalms 139:13 For you have possessed my reins: you have covered me in my mother’s womb.

Psalms 139:14 I will praise you; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are your works; and that my soul knows right well.

Proverbs 31:8 Open your mouth for the dumb in the cause of all such as are appointed to destruction.

Isaiah 49:15 Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yes, they may forget, yet will I not forget you.

Jeremiah 1:5 Before I formed you in the belly I knew you; and before you came forth out of the womb I sanctified you, and I ordained you a prophet to the nations.

Here are famous people who have spoken against abortion (and it makes sense.)

“More than a decade ago, a Supreme Court decision literally wiped off the books of fifty states statutes protecting the rights of unborn children. Abortion on demand now takes the lives of up to 1.5 million unborn children a year. Human life legislation ending this tragedy will some day pass the Congress, and you and I must never rest until it does. Unless and until it can be proven that the unborn child is not a living entity, then its right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness must be protected.”
― Ronald Reagan

“I feel the greatest destroyer of peace today is ‘Abortion’, because it is a war against the child… A direct killing of the innocent child, ‘Murder’ by the mother herself… And if we can accept that a mother can kill even her own child, how can we tell other people not to kill one another? How do we persuade a woman not to have an abortion? As always, we must persuade her with love… And we remind ourselves that love means to be willing to give until it hurts…”
― Mother Teresa
“I’ve noticed that everyone who is for abortion has already been born.”
― Ronald Reagan
“It is a poverty to decide that a child must die so that you may live as you wish.”
― Mother Teresa

“The America I know and love is not one in which my parents or my baby with Down syndrome will have to stand in front of Obama’s ‘death panel’ so his bureaucrats can decide, based on a subjective judgment of their ‘level of productivity in society,’ whether they are worthy of health care. Such a system is downright evil.”
― Sarah Palin

There are many more, but here are the good ones. You see, if Abortion seems wrong to so many people, that should pretty much say that it is. Here are some things and people that speak against abortion; The Bible, R. Reagan, Mother Theresa, women and men who have some sense, and me.

Here are some people who are okay with abortion but based one their decisions should not. Moms and dads who hold a baby of their own and say ‘I Love You.’, Some Christians, Some republicans, some people who believe in peace, people who say it’s wrong to kill, and people who actually care about how evil the world is but still don’t care about the babies who haven’t hurt a fly yet.

This is what our world is coming to.

Can Christians be Gay?

I’m reblogging this wonderful post from pnuematicrain. 100% true.

Pnuematic Rain

(This was actually a response I made, but like some of my comments do, it turned into the size of a blog post, and while it is not my usual style…)

Well, the difficulty here is that the bible clearly lays out homosexual acts as sin (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:26 & 27, etc.). Today’s world would call that unjust, because most believe that homosexuality is something that people are born with. I.e: ‘Didn’t God make people gay?’

As a Christian, I do not doubt that people can be born with a stint toward homosexuality. But does that mean that GOD made them gay? The bible teaches that when sin was introduced to the world it corrupted all of humanity, it caused sickness and death to enter into the human race:

‘Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all…

Weekly Inspiration

Hello ladies,

Today I have some weekly inspiration for those times when you simply feel like you can’t keep going, because we’ve all had those times. Believe me, I know! 🙂

Now, usually I would use pictures, but this time, I’m writing it. I’ll write a problem, then write an answer.

  1. I’m too tired to keep being strong

I’ve had this problem myself, not too long ago, but I defeated it. With prayer. Find a spot where it’s quiet, and just pray. Just listen. I often find listening is what calms me; what gives me strength.

2. I don’t want to be judged by others

Remember this: Only God can judge you. It’s that simple. There’s not much more to say about it. Really. I know it hurts, but be brave.

That’s all I have today! Comment below a problem you would like answered, or email anonymously here:

You don’t even need to use your name or email!

Thank you for reading! Have a lovely week! 🙂

Leonardo D’Vinci: A great man who might never have existed

Leonardo D’Vinci was a great man. He was a wonderful painter and inventor. He was the first man to come up with a flying machine, with a submarine, with a tank! And his paintings show an amazing amount of skill. His people look like they could step out of the frame and live and breathe! He was brilliant.

Leonardo D’Vinci made many sketches of horses for a bronze statue he was preparing to make.

And in today’s world, he might not even have been born.

You see, Leonardo D’Vinci was the illegitimate son of a middle-class lawyer and a servant girl, Catrina. Catrina gave her baby to his father to be raised as he’d have a better change with him, and Leonardo grew up never knowing his mother.

One of Leonardo’s many studies of anatomy.

Now, today, what would a girl do if she found out she was pregnant and the pregnancy was inconvenient for her? Well, chances are she’d have an abortion! And if Catrina had decided to have an abortion, well, Leonardo D’Vinci wouldn’t have been born … and the world would have lost one of the greatest geniuses of all time.

How does any woman know when she was an abortion that she wasn’t carrying the next Leonardo? It seems rather unfair not to give the baby a chance to be spectacular.
